Moderators Note: Updated information: This property has been purchased by a private party and will be turned into a housing development. Found out this morning when awoken by the police and asked to leave. A local up the road actually informed me of this..... Was able to stay for two nights luckily....but seems it's no longer a valid place.
this is a trail head with tonnes of trails. the main parking lot gets full and people will park along the street or across the street in a small make shift gravel overflow parking lot. we ventured a little further out and camped near the bridge and dried up river bed for the night. Great views of the mountains and sunsets. This is the edge of town so it's just wide openness. Great place to park for a weekend if you want to do a bunch of hikes.

The trailhead parking was secured with spikes and a gate. The parking spot mentioned in this spot is on the roadside with huge dips due to the rain. Not possible with a normal van or anything bigger. Also the spot can be clearly seen from the road which made us feel uncomfortable so we left
