we went to check it out, stayed a bit and left, there are many other beautiful beaches around where u can spend a nicer and more quite time :) it was noisy, with drunk people and the beach is not so amazing compared to what's around. we slept in playa Marsella instead (it's on overlander)

Stationnement public pour la plage. Correct pour une nuit ou deux mais assez bruyant le soir tard avec chiens qui jappent et des gens viennent prendre un verre avec de la musique.
Bel accès à une magnifique plage. Beaucoup de déchets.

Public parking for the beach. Ok for a night or two but quite noisy late at night with yapping dogs and people coming for drinks with music.
Nice access to a beautiful beach. Lots of trash.

It’s a nice spot, felt safe and stayed for 3 nights, leaving the car parked there during the day to visit the beach and walk around the city.

large flat gravel lot, disco is no more, police truck has gone but they come by regularlo, busy today but has been very quiet over the past few days, no noise after about 8pm. showers available still 10cord.

Report Check-In

unbelievably bad night here. the music didn't stop until midnight and started up again at 7am.

Report Check-In

just came here to park for the day and use the showers for 10c. The showers are behind one of the restaurants in the parking lot. You will see the sign for "Duchas" out front.

have shower, police station near, have bohios and restaurant

condo we rented in san jaun del sur, with john, angie, sophie, brad and jo-ann. Very nice great view and pool.

Report Check-In

Great spot by the ocean. So not use Calle El Rio Escondido to get to the location unless you have a smaller rig. The road is single lane, dirt and very narrow.

As it is the windy season, it sure delivers. Was afraid I'd lost something off the roof all night. Moved very close beside the police building for some shelter. Also the bar plays music all night long and it's loud! I used earplugs and only stayed one night. I parked here in a 25' Class C.

Great and free spot to spend a night or two. Lots of locals around, police came by a few times. Felt safe and quiet.

We camped here with two rigs, went to dinner and came back the nicos were sleeping on our porch and in our hammock I’m super glad they didn’t steal it. Super nice during the day. Not many options here in sjds

This is the place for overlanders. Security and Protection. No money to waste. But this City is for party and you will find a disco next door.

Report Check-In

Ok for a night or two. We felt safe. Week-end is very very noisy (Disco Crazy Crab...), best to avoid!
On the way to Playa Remanso on the right side is a campground. We didn‘t go, because we needed phone signal. But looked good for tents and vans.

As described... great free, semi-secure spot. Noisy on weekends. Spent 2 nights.

Report Check-In

This is a perfect spot where you can park/camp right on the beach. There's loads of space and always check in with the police post the stationed there. They're pretty friendly and may ask for your details like Registration, nationality, arrival and departure from the parking area. We had fires on the beach every night as lots of drift wood, it can be stupidly loud from surrounding bars at weekends. There's bins and seating huts but no other facilities.

Report Check-In

Camped there one night, police was nice.
Plenty of overlanders when we were there. By the way, on a sunday night the krazy krab was indeed extremely loud :)

Report Check-In

we've camped here multiple times over the past 3 months often for 2 weeks at a time. it's right next to the police station, so its secure and the police are helpful. it's right on the beach with 6 palapas you can use. there is a local guy offering toilets and showers for 10c. over the weekend it can get loud with locals partying and the local bar "the crazy crab". it's possible to fill your water tanks at the bomberos just out of town. no electricity available. walkable into town

A parking lot at the end of the beach front street. Some simple restaurants that were mostly empty nearby. No amenities but the police truck was parked and open all day/night. Showers and bathrooms are available at the hostels next door for 10 Córdoba. There is also a bodega with the basics next door. This lot is right on the beach and quiet; about a 5 minute walk to the action. Recommended as we couldn't find places with secure parking lots here (i.e. We asked and they didn't want us to stay). Other overlanders landed here at the same time.

This is a public beach spot with tiki huts and a 24 hour police station. We asked an officer and he said we could camp there. Safe and a good location close to everything. No services but some locals were offering us 10C to use their bathroom and shower which wasn't bad at all. Only compliant is on the weekends (Friday-Sunday night) the bar next door plays music until 5AM. Not ideal if you are a light sleeper!
