Nice little remote camping spot a few miles south of Sedona. As others have commented, it gets pretty packed come evening so if you get in around 6:00 or later it may be a challenge to find a spot. if you're staying a couple of days be patient, there tends to be a fair amount of movement before noon everyday and you can usually maneuver into a better spot. if you've got decently rugged tires and clearance, there is a road that heads off to the South towards the east end of the designated camping area. it's Rocky and a little bit of a hill climb but it takes you up to a beautiful Plateau that's remote, and a little Windswept. there are a few small spots on the way up that are not particularly level and better for a small pickup but once you get up top it's wide open and I doubt there's ever many people up there.

Great spot decently easy to get to. Recommend getting here early it fills up fast. 2 bars LTE

I'm back. See atlsanman comment below. Got lucky pulling in at 2:30pm and there was one spot that holds truck and 22ft trailer. Good views. Staying 2 weeks.

Report Check-In

2nd time in a year. Stayed 2 weeks 22ft trailer. 20 min from Sedona to hike and 20 from Cottonwood for normal priced shopping, laundry, gas. Not a large area but there's space. Come by 11ish. 2 5G Tmobile bars but streaming goes in and out. Great views.

One of only about 7 designated camping areas near Sonoma. Camping is prohibited in almost every spot around here. The USFS has set up 6 places on 525 where you are allowed to camp. This is one of them. Almost every spot in all places was taken. Squeezed in here and found a place to pitch a tent. Nothing special just a packed lot.

Report Check-In

Pretty tight. No fires. But it works. About 15 minutes outside of Sedona. Gets pretty busy.

Report Check-In

Easy access to dispersed camping. Plenty of space for lots of vehicles without feeling too crowded and it was still super quiet. 20 minutes from Sedona. We were chasing a weather window but this does seem like a good place to be in the rain as it was hard packed and there wasn’t a lot of clay. We moved on before the rain came so I can’t be certain how it is in the rain but we would have taken a chance
