This may be my favorite spot on iOverlander thus far. The amount of birds is magical, bull frogs, saw three gators, two snakes, and found a snake skin hanging out of a hole in a tree. A storm rolled through the night I was here and the lightning over the lake was incredible! If I wasn’t craving diamond hunting I’d stay awhile. 100% would stay here again. No outhouse.

Lovely quiet spot, we parked up before the boat ramp to the right of the road gravel pull off with fire pit next to the lake. A few fishermen about but no one bothered us.

Report Check-In

This place is such a secret haven. Not yet destroyed by parties. There are tons of spots to pull off and set up camp along the road. I was here tent camping and one saw one other van parked down the road. Cool to sit on the peninsula and watch the bird migration. Amazing views of sunset. No swimming allowed do to gators. It is a WMA so be aware of local hunting seasons and if you go exploring remember to wear burnt orange hat or vest. Boat launch a little ways away. Free.

We absolutely loved it here. several people were here. no one bothered us. It was quiet, and cell service was OK. enough to get by and get some work done. it is so beautiful and peaceful. we will stop in again if we are back this way.

Report Check-In

Designated campsite on the peninsula in the lake. Pull off the dirt road to the right before the boat ramp area. There is a sign to mark the spot.

Awesome free camping overlooking the lake! Cell service with Verizon. Several sites around the lake so don’t be afraid to drive the gravel roads. Rock fire ring
