Very nice place to discover this civilization. The statues and tombs are very well preserved, it's worth the detour! Above all, don't hesitate to visit the 2 other sites included in the pass, they are wonderful, particularly that of Altos de los Idolos. The price is 65k for adults and 20k for children over 5 years old, the pass is valid for 48 hours. The guard allowed us to sleep in the parking lot, however it is not very flat. Free WiFi. Large picnic table. Toilet available during openning hours.

We visited the site on the last Friday of the month, with a nice surprise, as the entrance is free for everyone on that day.

We spent 2,5 hours here and really enjoyed the visit. A very well maintained little museum and park. The view from Alto de Lavapatas was super nice that day :)

A nice afternoon stroll through the forest. On a Monday around 2pm, had the place to ourselves. The museum has some good info, the statues are neat. Now 65K for foreigners (includes this site plus two others over 2 days). Still closed on Tuesdays here.

Guess we agree with Mark below. After seeing Ruins all through Central America this place just seemed way to rebuilt. We could have skipped it and not been upset. That said it’s all very well maintained.
