Agree with precedent minds. However, it’s seem the price is not the same for every body. We paid 210 $N for 2 p. Maybe an other price for European strangers …

A nice campsite right on the orange River Goos place to canoe/swim/fish and relax. Short hike to see petroglyphs from the camp. Clean ablutions, very nice team, washing machine available to use, WiFi and also mtc signal. card or cash payment.

Report Check-In

Very nice campsite on the river, most is already said in other reviews: nice big shady spots, you can buy meat at reception, bar to buy cold drinks with good wifi, good ablutions. Recommend to hire canoes and explore the river.
Johan and Colleen couldn't be better hosts, we had an accident with one of the kids throwing up all over the rooftop tents and they did everything they could to support us, they gave us cleaning materials, we could use the water hose, they even allowed us to their washing machine. Great experience!

Report Check-In

Nice place, friendly staff. Close to the river.
Campsitea are very private, fenced, with a braii place and a sink

We thought its a little bit expensive.

Report Check-In

Epic place next to the river worth the money and easy to find after crossing the boarder

Report Check-In

Was here for a couple of days when cycling up north through Namibia. I can really recommend this place! Gras on the campsites, clean Ablutions, very nice and helpful staff. Overall a great place to spend a few nights.
Payed 180 for one person and a tent per night.

Report Check-In

We chose a place right on the river so beautiful view on the cliffs and the river and plenty of birds but old ablutions block and noise from the road. No drinkable water, only cash and campsite full! So we stayed only 1 night : 180pppn.

Report Check-In

Beautiful campsite, very well maintained. We chose a pitch directly at the river and had great views. Canoe trip was a nice experience.

Report Check-In

Lovely camp, safe and great with kids. Absolutely everything is cash only and we burned through quite a lot having done the half day canoeing. Very helpful and friendly management. No WiFi and no potable water. The locals drink water pumped straight from the Orange River.

Report Check-In

Now it is 180 pppn, but still a nice place

Report Check-In

The Orange river overflowed its banks when we visited and the lower campsite was deep under water. However, the upper campsite with lots of grass proved perfect. Service and friendly staff were impeccable. Hosts Johan and Colleen made our stay so nice that we stayed longer.
Definitely one of the best campsites we have ever visited. We will always stay over at Amanzi when we travel to Namibia.

Report Check-In

Great spot on Nam side of orange river with large camp sites, restaurant and decent evolutions. No wifi.
Does get a little busy with large groups gathering, if you want to be on a river site - so choose site well ito noise levels. Right on the river to dip in, walk to rafting, trails. Overall good last stop to border.

Report Check-In

It's a bit expensive campsite compared to the rest of Namibia.
Clean ablution, nice sites and just at the side of the river.

We paid N$720 for a campsite for two adults and two children.

Report Check-In

Don’t let the drive in fool you, go in and have a look at the camp for yourself. (We we’re nearly fooled as it doesn’t look like much from the outside)

Ari (owner/manager?), rebuilt the campsite within the past two years after the floods (for anyone who has seen the photos at the reception, the floods were 1m lower than 2011!).

As someone already mentioned the campsites are very generously sized, with lush green grass and many have a view of the Orange River. After being in the wind and heat for some time, it was a welcome change to have some nice trees, grass and a bit of shelter!

We planned to only stay one night but because it was so peaceful, we stayed longer.

Price: R180pppn

Does have a bar .
We camped 2 nights.
One night had a huge 60 students group they were a bit loud and also the campers near us made noise until midnight.
Other night was peaceful.
Owners are wonderful and welcoming.

Gepflegter Campingplatz am Fluss, aktuell mit Renovierungsarbeiten, da alles geflutet war. 180$pP Für uns zu eng, zu laut, zu busy !

Report Check-In

lovely spot just 10km from the border. generous sized, private sites. electricity, water, bar, clean ablutions. 180ZAR pppn .

We loved that place and stayed over 2 weeks. Coleen, Johan, Ari and the team are wonderful hosts in this beautiful oasis. Canoeing on the Orange River is great fun, after that enjoy a cold drink at the bar and have a braai at your campsite with big trees giving their natural shade. 100% recommended 👍🏼.

Report Check-In

Beautiful location camping right on the Orange River. Campsites are by far the biggest and shadiest we have had in Namibia! Nicely maintained grass sites, most come with a small lapa or trees for shade. We got the biggest site 'bee-eater' at the far end of the camp right on the river and it is huge!!!
Clean & tidy ablutions with hot water, hand soap.
Staff are great, recommend hiring kayaks for the river ($100 per kayak for the day).
Please note they do not take card payments so make sure you have cash (atm 10km away at Engen).
It can get quite windy here especially in the afternoons.
NAD170pppn, kids 120pppn
Very peaceful, safe and secure.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Lovely grassed camping sites with good shade trees. Big stands - could easily take 3-4 vehicles if required. Large ablution blocks. 2020 price now N$170 ppn. One of the hotter locations in Nam - daytime temps of 40 degrees common.

Campsite situated in a most beautiful surrounding a the Orange river. Arnulf, one of the three owners, was present and very helpful to indicate special places in Namibia to visit. Clean sanitary, cured campsite. Paid N$ 150pppn.

What a place! Stunning location! Nice big spots with power. Very clean ablutions and lots of activities available. We did a half day river trip in our own kayaks without a guide for 350pp, well worth it! Very friendly and helpful staff. Note they don’t accept card or have WiFi so you need cash! MTC Signal is poor. 150pppn yo camp and bar is well stocked and one of the cheapest we have frequented in Namibia.

Great camping. Fantastic people. Clean ablutions. Chalets to rent. Awesome place to start a rowing trip down the river.

Excellent camp site as said before. Worth phoning up front to reserve a site that is right at the river. Go there also if you get a site in the second row. Professionally managed, super view. 150 pp and night, valid for 2018 and 2019. Canoes in hire at excellent price. Organise canoe trips.

Report Check-In

150 p.p now. Could not check in before 14.00 due to lawn irrigation. No moskitos though it is right at the river front. No WiFi, very weak phone signal, no Data possible

Report Check-In

Gorgeous campsite - right on the banks of the Orange River overlooking cliffs. Perfect stopover on the way to or from the border. Sites are huge and private, with reed fencing around them and each has its own sink. Ablutions are a bit cramped but are clean. $N140pp
