Only $40 campsites here. Lot of the park closed off. Came to shower after hours discretely and then parked at a nearby pullout overnight. Shower has hot water but not very hot, takes quarters.

Not actual campgrounds, stayed on Laguna Point Beach parking lot with another RV with no issues.

Stopped into shower. $1 for 5 min. $45 per night campsite so we didn’t stay.

When I don’t find a “free” spot, my next choice is national and state campgrounds, which I like to support. In this case Mackerricher SP was a good choice for ending my day of driving. Facilities and grounds are showing their age and wear and tear from the weather, but it was clean, quiet, level, and convenient. Two of the three campground loops were closed, which I assume was because of the time of the year (March, 2023). Although the open loop was probably 2/3 occupied and a few had reserved cards, there were plenty of first-come choices….again for this time of the year. I picked 70 because there were no occupied neighbors, it was level, and the site was easy to back in my Promaster high roof. $40 nonresident, $38 nonresident senior (me)…again, I’m happy to support our state campgrounds and parks. After a short trail walk, I was walking on the beach….55 degrees and sunny. I’m guessing it’s booked solid during the high seasons, but I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. I boosted my cell service from 1 to 2 bars.

Kinda crowded and $45, but cool lil tucked away camp ground

Good spot along the coast. Stopped here on the way to Point Reyes/Stinson Beach. Coast was beautiful and windy.

Snuck a shower here despite this being only for registered campers. There was nobody at the entrance to take a fee otherwise this wouldn't have worked. Made sure to be quick about it. Showers take quarters; the one I used got just warm enough to be passable (it was also a cool day) - then again, I'm a super hot shower kinda gal.
