A very good place. $26 for full hookups for Oregon residents - 25% more for non-residents. Non-resident surcharge doesn't apply for tent sites.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Nice little site however the train line is very close. During the night we had a couple of trains pass.
We had water and sewer on our pitch along with electric
Would use again if we needed to.
Report Check-InPark is open - ignore closed comment. Is only closed seasonally nov/dec/jan/feb. If people checked state park sites before they arrived they would know this.
Report Check-InWe stayed in A11 - easy pull thru, nicely level, great water pressure. We’ve stayed in other spots along i84 in the past with horrible blaring train noise. This spot was fantastic by comparison! We could hear them rumbling by, but it wasn’t intrusive. Pouring rain on our visit so we stayed inside but plenty of elbow room between neighbors and beautiful mossy forest!
Report Check-InFairly typical Oregon State Park. Good layout, affected only by the topography; built on a hillside that seems almost vertical. I think all sites have full hookups. Park is one “loop” with 3 sections. The uphill side of the park is A sites which are all pull-thru with full hookups. Continue around the loop and B sites are on the downhill side and are a mix of back-ins and half loop pull thrus, all with hookups. A site pull-thrus are fairly level, but not perfect. I believe the C section is tent sites and hiker-biker sites. In the middle of the loop is a grassy area with asphalt walking paths and two restroom/shower houses. If you have seen one Oregon State Parks restroom, you’ve seen them all, and these are no different. They are kept presentable. During our stay there was no camp host, but Oregon did have a ranger on site during normal business hours. Hookup posts are in excellent condition, with 50/30/20 power and great water pressure. Sewer dump ports were also in excellent condition. The park also includes a day use area you can get to by a footpath, but the day use area is closer to hwy 30 and is more for highway travelers. There is also a rudimentary playground. The park is also along trail 400. Dump station is at the bottom of the A site section, and seems well maintained and functional. You can hear the trains going through, but I didn’t consider it bothersome. Campground was full when we were there, all sites were reserved.
Report Check-InA easy lower price pick. 3 Lanes to pick from A/B/C. $26 for an full hookup spot, it seems all sites in A&B have them. I've heard trains on my overnight stay in B4, but never one blaring their horn. Showers are excellent in both. Enjoyable stay.
Report Check-In$26 has some 1st come 1st serve. friendly helpful rangers
Also has nice showers.
We didn’t have any other choice as the nearby trailheads posted here were closed and it was getting late! We managed to bag the last spot which was full hook-up! That cost $34 for us because we are non Oregon residents! 1 bar of Verizon signal!
Report Check-InGreat Host and nice clean camping spot with full hook ups and water. Very population campsite with clean bathrooms. The trains come by 3-4 times a day and the traffic from 84 is a constant roar, so it's loud. The hiking trails were closed, but we had a great time just kicking back and relaxing. The forest is green and thick and beautiful, we had deer come and visit our site in the night!
Report Check-InClean small campground with flush bathrooms and hot showers included for $26.00 The issues are, loud trains (tracks are next to the campground) traffic and airplanes...all night. I don’t recommend this campground unless you don’t have another choice.
