BLM campground for free directly on the arctic circle at Dalton HW. Tables, firerings, places are big. Good place to sleep on the way to Prudhoe.

Nice campground. Free until September 5th. Fire crew left. Open to civilians.
Report Check-Innice clean campground, only 4 campers tonight, a good half mile off the road so very little traffic noise. fire pits, picnic tables at each site and several clean pit toilets. the sites are level gravel and should be ok even in the rain. you will definitely need mosquito protection!

We camped with a Rooftent.
Wanted to stay here but it is closed in winter! With a 4x4 maybe possible if there is not too much snow. We gut stuck with our rv and had to dig ourselves out.
Stayed in the parking lot at the arctic circle sign. Signs that say: “No overnight parking”
But probably no problem in winter
Free and clean! Plenty of sites with tables and fire pits.
Report Check-InNice places, lots of spots to pick. Some more exposed, some more private, and some has picnic table. When we arrived it was almost full, hard to find a spot. Free.

Report Check-InIndeed a beautiful place to stay. There are some trees to protect you from the sun or the wind and the fire rings have grills for BBQ. However most of the places were already taken by the time we came at about 6pm, so it's a pretty popular place
