Description

This place could just as well be called "The Jewel of Barkly East" or "The Jewel of the Eastern Cape". An old trout farm with cottages and two campsites - one at the river and one under a giant sandstone overhang. The surrounding mountains and cliffs provide the perfect setting for an off grid experience second to none. Electricity is available at the sites when water is abundant as it is hydro generated. Ablutions are neat and clean with hot water (gas heated). Wood is available from the owners. Current price is R490 per site and privacy is guaranteed. The road leading to the farm can be driven with a 2x4, yet caution is advised. This is a true gem!
