Stayed one night here with our camper. Quiet a nice place with the colored Cabañas.
For 5$ it s a ok. Toilets are....better if you have yours.
But when we were here there were a lot of sandflies so we only stayed one night as it was a terrible for our kids. It was the first Time in one year we décide to leave for them

30 dolars for a room with fan and a basic bathroom, lots of mosquitoes, must sleep under mosq net. El Chino has different kind of rooms and cabañas, fist night we slept in one with fan... second night we cahanged to a bigger one for 5 dollar more that has basic a/c and we could sleep better... beach good for kids, walking distance to playa estrella. If you leave the van in parking and prefer taking lancha this is a cheap place to stay.

It’s just the backyard of the family house. Not a camping. Flush toilets but not paper. Shower worked in the evening but not in the morning, (nobody told us) same with WiFi and they ran the generator all night. Plus chained dogs were crying a lot.

Estuvimos 20 días en este hermoso lugar, para nosotros el lugar más lindo de la isla. El Chino y su familia son personas muy amables y tranquilas

Estefany is a good and safe place to stay. Ricardo, a very nice and talkative man (the only one around who speaks English) was very helpful. He and another lady told us we could park in front of the guest houses, but later the wife of owner Chino said we couldn’t, so we had to move. This was no problem at all because we got a better spot, more private and looking out directly on the ocean; Between some sort of bar and a little roof, so perfect for when it would rain. (We travel with a rooftop tent)

WiFi connection [Password removed by moderator.] isn’t that good, but ok. It loses its connection sometimes and at our ‘private’ spot it was poorly receivable.
We could use the toilet (with toilet paper), shower, washing machine (didn’t use it/I washed by hand) and washing line so this was very good. The shower is cold but not freezing so for a girl who likes hot showers it was very doable! It’s a good place for doing some washing because the wind on this part of the island is quite strong. It will dry easier in this humid country.

It is a 15 min walk from starfish beach and a 30 min drive through a heavy pothole-road to the city center.

Make sure to eat fresh lobster on starfish beach for around $20, you can choose your own lobster.

We stayed one night at Estefany and then slept another night in the city center (surfari hostel $20) for half a day in town, because the road was just too much of a hazard to drive several times a day and you can easily catch the boat the next day. Two days is more than enough on this island.

Beautiful place. Park in front of the beach. you can take a Beautiful walk to playa estrella too. But you have to know this Is far away from town and kind of rustic, so go only if you want that and prepare with food and water. electricity Is available when they turn on the generator, same so with wifi and water pump
we couldn't plug or fill the water tank. There Is a shower available but water pump was off when we wanted to use it, so we only paid for parking, but it worth it as the beach Is Beautiful.

We stayed two nights. We paid $5 for two ppl camping per night. For $5 bucks it's not bad. You get toilets, a way to shower, flat spot to camp on sand and usable wifi most of the time. You have an ocean view, and it felt safe. We felt good about leaving the car behind as we walked to the starfish beach for the afternoon. I would not pay more for what we got. The toilets are not too clean, and BYOTP. The shower kind of worked the first night. The whole next day, and next morning there was no water even though an outside spout had plenty of water and pressure, so we showered outside at that spot. There is a poorly stocked kitchen, and you may find the owners cooking turtle soup or turtle eggs. The wifi works well enough for social media and emails, but nothing else. Dorm beds are $12, and a cabin is $60. If I paid $12 for a bed I would have been pretty disappointed, but for $5 it's pretty good.

Chino is a great host at estephany. Isn't huge but it's a great spot on the beach. 15 minute walk to star fish beach, restaurant near by, wi fi, cold showers, toilets and kitchen to use.

Took the ferry to Colon based on the the great reviews of this place. What a disappointment! It is a fairly long drive from town, but we sort of knew that. This is not a place for overlanders, maybe if you stayed in the cabins.... The guy showed us a place where we could park, in a yard full of trash and car parts. Said that we couldn't park anywhere else because they were expecting a lot of people (Carnaval). We didn't get a good feeling from the people
The nearby beach is nice and the restaurant seemed OK, but we didn't stay. We found a place near town.

Charged us 10 dollars for the 4 of us and the Van. Really accommodating. Nice breezy spot for cool sleep without bugs.

Do not miss this place, bocas del drago! amazing beach, great snorkling, wi-fi, water... we stayed 15 days :) Chino, the owner, is a great and helpful guy. Buy everything (gas, food, drinks...) in Almirante, is less expensive than in bocas del toro. No shops at all in bocas del drago, only 1 restaurant. Very quiet and safe, perfect for kids. We took a boat tour with chino to Cayo Zapatilla (amazing!). To get to isla colon, take the mantaray ferry, is less expensive than the other company. We payed 35$ each way for our big rig!

An amazing beach. Owners are friendly. No running water when we were there, but seemed like they were fixing the issue
