Description

ADMIN NOTE: Only self-contained campers. Portable Toilet required

There are many many places for dispersed camping along Dubinky Wells Road based on recommendation of Canyonlands ranger.
There are no amenities here but it's good for when the official campsites are full. Only takes about 25 minutes to drive to Island in the Sky Visitor center.
The road into the campsites is sandy. Just be careful and you’ll be fine.

huge area, wonderful place, perfect views, road fine, perfect for canyonlands or dead horse park

Dubinky Wells Rd. No such thing as Diamond RD this needs to be fixed.

Report Check-In

Location is exactly as described. Spent 4 nights in this beautiful FREE location with other towable RVs and Sprinters.

Report Check-In

Road in is in good shape. About 1.5 mi dirt Road to the ground. Dramatic views all around. Got here easy with our RWD Sprinter.
A couple other campers here. From RV to trailer.
Don’t know how the road may be doable with 2WD after heavy rains, so keep that in mind.

Report Check-In

Stayed here two nights. Very nice place. Lots of stars, quiet. Camping spots are dispersed. Easy to come in our sprinter.

Nous sommes restes ici 2 nuits. Magnifique camping, emplacements éloignés. Tranquille, beaucoup d'étoiles!
Facile d'accès! Nous sommes en sprinter. 2wd

Great spot, portable one time use toilet can be bought from any visitor centre in the area for $5 which is a great thing if you are in a campervan and really want to just spend the night on any BLM land (and use the facilities on some of the viewpoints in the morning)

Stayed Sat May 21 and will be staying Sun May 22 as well. This spot is the Lone Mesa Campground and it’s dispersed camping. Third right after turning on to Old Dead Horse Pt / Dubinky Well Rd from UT 313. Lots of spots, some with fire rings, some without.

On Sat we arrived around 9pm after watching sunset at Green River Overlook and was able to find a spot. It was busy but few others arrived after us and were also able to find spots. On Sun we arrived here around 1pm was easily able to secure a spot (only about 8 other vehicles/rigs were here at that time).

Don’t need a 4x4 to get to this spot. Some other spots along this rd looked like they may need 4x4. We saw cars and big RVs here.

1 bar Sprint. No amenities but 20 minute drive to Island in the Sky Visitor Center.

Report Check-In

Lone Mesa was a nice site. Spots are close together and pretty exposed, something to keep in mind for tent camping. Road was better than willow springs or Klondike bluff in my opinion. Easily passable in my 2WD sedan. VERY windy on this day, tent blew away.

Report Check-In

dirt road to reach the place, we were there with 27ft long RV. Many places on a small hill, many campers, nice views. Stayed there 2 nights

Amazing views. Had enough service with our weboost on to work our 9-5 for 2 days! T-Mobile & Verizon.

Report Check-In

Nice dispersed camping area beautiful view.

Report Check-In

Portable toilet required, we were checked by a BLM ranger super early. If you’re tent camping stay up top close to your vehicle and don’t make your site in the desert down the embankment.

Report Check-In

Pretty much as described. Popular spot with several campers in RVs, vans, and tents. Spots spread out enough to give you a sense of privacy and safety. We turned off the main road up a bumpy driveway to an elevated strip of sites with a few trees just before the turnoff towards Lone Mesa Campground. We took the spot furthest on the right, which felt the most private. Lots of fire rings. Some cows grazing nearby. Road in is dirt but okay without 4WD. We have high clearance but probably isn’t necessary. Looks like you could continue down any number of dirt roads and find various spots. This is probably the most accessible and level place you’ll find in this area.

We did experience a light dusting of snow overnight. It was melted very quickly and did not impede our drive out to the main road in any way.

Very cool camping area right by Canyonlands. Easy to get to and the sites were kind of free form for the most part.

Report Check-In

Loved it here. Lots of sites. Pulled in after dark on a Saturday night and had to drive around a bit to find a site, but we got one that was on its own with fabulous views! Need your own toilet. Road in is easy, a bit bumpy searching for sites. Some sites had a bit of shade/wind block, and some were suitable for groups.

Beautifull place. Easy to find. 4G. A lot of fireplaces. Nive view, some campers around.

Report Check-In

Nice place to camp.
Road is sandy so if it rains i would avoid to go by RV.

This spot was crowed when we get there and some spot was only for 4x4
So we drove a little further down the road at right and find a lot more spot, there was a lot of rvs to but we’re able to find a leveled spot. Very windy

Report Check-In

great place as base camp to visit the parcs around. fyi: there is no sign saying "diamond rd." at hwy 313. follow gps location and you will find it!

Report Check-In

Nice free spot with lots of cycling trails around. This spot is on the hill and because of that its nice and windy. AT&T coverage

Its sandy so probably not very good for RVs
