Forest park near Tehran.
We came late at bight and it was closed so we camp outside on the forest near the entrance.
Not ideal, but it can be used on your way out of the capital.
There were some guard dogs barking and coming around that was not nice, but after the scary moment they just left.
In the morning some cars passed by, so not privacy, however the guard of the park that lives in the nearby house came to offer us to come inside the park where they do have toilets and
water.
I guess that if you come during the day he would allow you to come to the park itself (not a bad forest) to camp for some of money.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
We stayed here for four nights. This place was actually most loved placed. We continued the road upwards, passed by the little cottages and went then right. On Google Maps you see a little pond, at this spot you have the wides view over everything.
Locals come here to see the sunset, but they leave at some point, because security forces them to leave. Only we as foreigners were allowed to sleep here. At the first night security only said we shall move the car a little bit nearer to the lake, but the following days we were all friends and had a peaceful stay here.
Large park. Very nice place to stay. The security came and asked if we were sleeping here. We felt very safe. quiet night.
Report Check-InPerfect for a night on the way to Tehran. If you continue the track and go up the hill there is a large esplanade with great views. Next to the public toilets there is a tap to refill water
Report Check-InGreat place to stay. The park is basically a big hillside with many little roads and places to stay. It feels almost like wild camping if you are there during the week and it’s quiet. Nice view also.
The place is guarded 24/7 and the gate closes in the evening. When we arrived in the evening they opened it for us and we could stay inside. It’s all free, there are trashbins, toilet, LTE and a medium sized supermarket nearby.
The only downside is that after the second night they asked us to park next to their office in the nights for ‘safety’. It’s on a slope and driving up and down was a bit annoying, but maybe you can convince them to stay on the hill for the night.
Report Check-Inperfect spot for 1 night. calm and peaceful. the guardian just passed by in the evening and wanted to know how many people we are and where we are from. There are public toilets at the entrance of the park.
