Excellent place. Great host. Wonderful breakfast.

Clean, quiet, comfortable family atmosphere.

Still possible to park outside and sleep in your van and use hostel facilities. Cost $10 for one.

the owner let us park in front of the hostel and let us use the facilities for free :)

very nice place. Functionnal beautiful and clean. Safe space for motorcycle inside (see picture) + other space available to park inside. clean pool. very large building. no bunk beds in dorm. Breakfast included (hot buffet and musli). can't get better than this. 14$ dorm

Agree with the previous posts! Great hostel, super fast wifi, good food and nice staff. What more to ask for..?

i needed to use the internet for work, carlos was more than welcoming to let me hang around a couple of hours in his hostel and let me use the amenities. he is a lovely host. even offered me a cup of coffee.
while there i also had them wash one swing of laundry, it was 6$.

I recommend booking ahead of time to avoid disappointment. We thought people were exaggerating when they said this was the nicest hostel in Central America. And yes, the kitchen is incredible and worth commenting on. It was a very sad day when we got there to and saw this place and they told us it was booked.

Best hostel in all south, central and north america ! Clean rooms, good showers, pool, amazing common areas with hammocs and tables/benches, TV room, 2 kitchen, roof terrace (go check it out!), free drinking water and italian coffee.
Parking inside the hostel for 2 motorcycles max.

We parked our camper in front of the Hostal. With cameras they had a look at it, nothing happened to our car while we were visiting the city. We sleeped in the very nice Hostal.

This place is really nice and clean. They have a warm pool, hammocks, decent selection of beers and the most well equipped kitchens we've ever seen in a hostel! Would definitely stay here again and recommend it in a heartbeat

This place is fantastic! Some of the cleanest rooms and best common areas we've seen. Not one but 2 fully equipped kitchens. Carlos (the owner) is incredibly friendly and speaks great English and native Spanish. There is fully secure parking on site for small vehicles and a fully secure parking lot 30m down the street for free if you stay. Right in town and a half an hour drive to the lake. Don't go past this place if in Santa Ana!

An excellent choice & easily one of the best we've seen between Mexico & Panama. Very clean, fast wifi, small pool, extremely helpful and friendly staff. The best part is the amazingly well-equipped kitchen. If you're a cook & despair at hostel kitchens, this is the place for you: sharp knives, plentiful tools and appliances (there's an immersion blender, panini maker, juicer, rice cooker - everything!). And there are 2 kitchens! Laundry service $6. Secure parking 1/2 block down. $10 dorm, $20 single, $25 double, $52 family room.
