looks like they are renovating the hostel and diving school. anyway , no more gated parking available. we went to love beach hostal where we parked in front and used the facilities for 10k/pp

Parking place in front of Hostal on even sandy place. Good for 1-2 rigs not longer than about 10m. No gate but security cameras and we hadn‘t had any problems staying there for 5 nights.

Cost is 10‘000$ per car and 10‘000$ per person. Use of all the facilities incluided, like good equipped kitchen, toilets, cold shower and good Wifi.

Chopper, Mariela and Amber are a super lovely family. We made the PADI Open Water and Advance Cours with Chopper and had five awsome days in Taganga while diving.

Very nice Overlander spot. 2-3 rigs, even long ones fit. 30.000 COP for couples (10 for the car each 10 for us). Very nice owners, cool vibe and very close to the beach. The spot has no gate but proper camera surveillence. Felt very safe. Even forgot to lock the door one night while being out, no issues. Shops and ATM's are close. The owner knows a good mechanic he exchanged our ball bearings and fixed our AC for 150$ right at the campspot within 3h. They had all the parts in their shop. Diving is good and quite cheap!

Great place, as described. Best place we found to stay in taganga with our truck camper. No height restrictions, flat space for about 4 cars, so not very much. Hammocks and shade next to the parking. We'd definetely recommend this place for overlanders!

Great place for overlanders, close to the beach. We parked our van in the hostels parking it's not fenced but felt safe. Showers, kitchen, toilets and the family that runs the place is amazing and super helpful and they speak English :) and of course it's also a diving school. The price 10.000 for the parking and 10.000 pp to use the facilities. We loved it.

We didn’t stay here but went diving with Chopper. They were very accommodating with our requests, for example we went diving in the afternoon, they let us take our dog on the boat, they organized transportation back to Cartagena for our friend etc.
the diving equipment is in good shape, it was newer than what we had in Utila. The boat was big and has a little roof. Chopper also takes pictures during the dive which they will email to you for free afterwards. There really is nothing to complain about the dive experience.

The hostel itself looked quite cozy, there were multiple hammocks and cozy chairs available. Parking is not gated but has cameras and Chopper is from Taganga, the community knows and respects them.

10 for car and 10 pp. Safe enough for us and close to beach. It is just near the one road to the beach but fine with us. maybee better to stsy at SierraVentura we think.
Friendly owner.
Taganga is the place in Colombia to get a diver licence and cheap 900 cop at the best dive center.

Stayed here in our small van in front of the hostel. The place is flat and not dusty. There is space for 2-4 cars. As we where here there was another overlander in a Landrover. There is no gate, so theoratically everybody could get to the cars but the owners take care. They are very friendly and helpful! We got electricity and there is fast WiFi. Showers are cold but refreshing at the high outside temperature. Stayed at a saturday night and Taganga was very loud. Music, fireworks, screaming people...So we didn't like it here very much. I guess (hope!) this is not the caribbean feeling we expected. We left the next day...

Very bad experience here!!! They barbecued a Jurel fish charging 15.000 pesos p/p but it turned out to be way undercook resulting in a couple of days of intoxication for both of us. Also the campground is extremely dusty and Taganga very windy which is not a good combination if you plan to leave the van open in order for it to cool down from the direct sun light it receives. The place is definitely overpriced for what you get (12.000 p/p and 10.000 for the car). The only good thing is that internet is pretty fast which is hard to find in north Colombia. Still I wouldn't personally recommend it.

You can camp in your vehicle in the parking lot here. They'll give you a key to access the bathrooms at night. Chopper, the owner, is around usually and is friendly. He likes having overlanders stay here. 30,000 for 2 people and a Landcruiser. Sprinter sized vans may fit, but nothing larger. For car camping options, Taganga doesn't offer much. Camping El Coral has closed and Ocean Reef Hostel, we were told, just closed last month. It didn't appear as though you could camp at Mr. Wilson's with a vehicle, unless you park out front.

Hostel con habitaciones compartidas y una privada con aire acondicionado (todas menos una). habitación compartida 25.000(sin a/c) y 35.000 (con baño y aire acondicionado). tiene cocina común y WiFi. los dueños que lo acaban de abrir y lo están montando son muy predispuestos a ayudar. tienen parking para overlanders (30.000 p por pareja)
