Water was shut off April 14! Water fountain and tap located directly beside tennis courts in Beban park Nanaimo. 15ft from parking lot. Filled up water jugs. no issues, water tastes good.

No overnight sign is for the overflow parking lot a bit further away, not the tennis court's parking lot.
We spent the night on the other side of the park, where the children's playground is. Not very quiet as a lot of locals come here to just hang out or play basketball in the evening but also at night. If you stay there, avoid parking under the basketball nets so you don't prevent anybody from using them.
Stayed overnight in the NW parking lot, close to the children's playground. Slept in my SUV after arriving, just after dusk, in Nanaimo from late ferry. Relatively Quiet and Undisturbed until 6am when a troop of amateur CrossFit enthusiasts worked out until 7am. One other RV in parking lot for duration

Report Check-Inspace to park a little further than the water park parkinglot. Trees on and park both sides and shade in the morning. Arrived late, only 5 minutes from ferry (horseshoebay - Nanaimo). Had a really quite night+morning. Not pretty but fine for a night.

Report Check-InWater was shut off as late as April 14. It doesn’t get very cold here so it probably was not shut off for the winter.
Report Check-InI can confirm this spigot has a hose thread to screw onto. Located beside the tennis court gate. A 15ft hose was more than enough to reach spigot.
Report Check-InGreat public water source. Easy to access just off the main road. Clean water and no issues when filling water jugs and cleaning car mats.
