Report Check-In

We arrived at Fort Gibson dam site on March 21, 2023. Free Camp ground that sometimes has a camp host. At the top of the road into site is a turn out, use this turn out if you are towing a rv or have a motorhome - the turn is very sharp if you don't and the decline is very steep. This site has been flooded and not maintained but is still usable. Six pull through sites, many back-in sites and tent sites. The water spickets don't work. When there is a change in outlet water a horn will blow, sometimes at 4 or 5 AM. This site gets very busy on the weekend with fishermen but not that many campers during the week. Across the river is the Dam Bar and down the road is the reconstructed Fort. Lots of birds are here for bird watchers to enjoy. No dump site, but Love's truck stops usually have one for $10.00. Port-a-potties, cement picknic tables, grated fire pits or grills and paved roads that loop around. This is a nice free site.

Report Check-In

As described. More than 30 sites available. Peaceful and quiet, except for Cicadas! Interesting looking dam as well. Stayed Friday night and there where no parties or loud people. Water to sites is turned off, so, bring your own. Dumpsters near the entrance.

Report Check-In

FREE USACE Campground. Has permanent flood damage thus free. Turn downhill at the dam (almost a u turn) to get to the recreation site. No services, only portapotties. Wooded setting along the water. Decent cell service. Wonderful bird watching.

Report Check-In

Army Corps of Engineers Dam & Campground. According to Game Warden: After repeat flooding now primitive camp site without host. Several camp sites next to river. Toilets and showers currently defective, but port-a-potties available.
