Peaceful, beautiful setting with the running river nearby lined with trees. Perfect push off point toward Sani. MeNkune was warm and welcoming. The only disturbance was by their puppy and cat, a welcome visit! R100 to camp, R140 to stay in a bunk bed in a Rondavel which was clean, warm and had extra blankets. Long drop toilet was clean and smelled fine. No mobile signal.

Agree with the last post. Any male that can hit this toilet standing up is my hero 😀. Friendly people, they heated some water for me to have an African bath.

Very warm welcome. They allow you to can camp next or in front of the rondavels, which either guests or the family themselves are using. During the day, evening and early morning, people are also passing by or letting their kettle grass next to your car, so don't expect any privacy. There is no shade. Toilets are clean, smelly, anda bit weird/uncomfortable... Price is ZAR 100 pppn.

Lovely family living in traditional houses. You can park your car in their garden, not suitable for caravans. No facilities other than a long drop toilet but it’s fine after a long drive to or from Sani Pass. We paid 80R per person.
