Nice. Solitude. Quiet. Drove about a mile in past 3-4 sites. Walked a mile down the road in the AM and only saw one more site. Not sure how much longer it will be open, I suspect the gate gets closed as soon as there is a first snowfall. But all in all, a very quiet, very peaceful place to stay. The road is flat, no problems getting in or out. The sites are rather narrow, may be enough room for a class B, but barely enough room to put out the awning!
Report Check-InA good spot for a night at a trail head. calm but could hear some far away traffic. the gravel road leading to the spot have lots of potholes.
Report Check-Inthis is trailhead parking without any posted restrictions. Not suitable for setting up camp; however, I wouldn't foresee any issues with overnight parking at the trailhead. I had no problem accessing in my ProMaster high top van.
Report Check-InVery secluded and a lot of tree cover. Not great for camper trailer or those using solar. But it was quiet.
Was very recent evidence of bear activity, which is normal in this area.
We stayed one night.
