Description

This is the only accomodation inside Mahale NP which is affordable. The other two are luxury camps (Greystoke, Mbali Mbali) and are more than 1000USD per night.
They have to be booked in advance through the National Park: [email protected]
There is a basic kitchen and the rooms are quite nice.
40$ per day for the accomodation plus 80$ per day entry fee. 20$ per day (per group) Ranger fee.
Not cheap but simply amazing to see the Chimps like this.

Latest Check-Ins

Basic accommodation with about 12 double bed rooms with ensuite ablutions. There’s a communal kitchen and dining hall with a fridge that you can utilize. The accommodation is self catering so be sure to bring in all your food on the boat. There’s basic cutlery available and 2 2-burner gas stoves are provided free of charge. Electricity and slow wifi is available. There’s no mobile coverage though. I’ve attached a picture of all the activities available plus the pricing. Best time for chimp trekking is around September when most of the fruit trees have fruits
