We came from Huancayo - Huancavelica - lagunas de Choclococha, one of the beautiful road we ever done, with a lot of lamas and alpagas.
So we were happy to sleep here, the first/last area before/after the plateau between 4000 and 5000m. No headache for anybody here...
There is a small restaurant here, 10sol and good.

Emergency stop for deaf people as you're no more than 15 metres from the road edge. Place is sloping, can't get level. Being in a sharp bend you get light from passing vehicles and extra noise from brakes and gear changes.
Just West of Huaytara a new grifo is being built - you'd be better off to look there.
