Description

Just as we were about to park for the night at Amelia Walmart, an adjacent Class A was leaving because the police had just knocked and told them it was against the city ordinance. They headed back to the Yulee Walmart where they'd parked the previous week. We followed. Quiet night, other than the constant motor noise from another nearby Class A and a big rig who idled all night.

According to other reports, the store asks you to park next to the Murphy Gas. We parked on the opposite side for less traffic noise.

Spent one night here. Got right before close ~10:30pm. Parked near the back toward Wine & Spirits section. Wasn’t bothered and used the facilities before heading out ~8:30am. Other vans and RVs on the premises and still there when I left.

Report Check-In

Called and asked permission to stay overnight in our camper van. The woman who answered the phone was lovely and was so nice and said it was allowed. She asked that we park away from the store near the gas station and also requested that we leave by 7am. Some road noise that quieted down in the evening but otherwise had a quiet stay. Would stay again.

Report Check-In

Stayed there for one night to go visit Fernandina.
Many campers and RV. Walmart really clean, but unfriendly people in the parking lot. One refused to move her car parked in the middle of two lanes because she was eating… she moved just after we set everything on another alley. A pickup played loud music at 5:50 am and another one honked for 5 minutes around 6:30 am. 🤬 It’s not the kind of greeting you have to make to see people who spend money in stores and restaurants coming back…
