the security guy told us to move to the other parking... we will try the planet fitness. he says its because there is too much criminality and one guy od'ed from fentanyl in his car 2 days ago. it will probably be ok again in a couple of weeks. other than that, nice place and there is a currency exchange with good rates inside costco.

Stayed here Monday night. Several others vehicles and vanlifers here. Security drives by no issues. Was going to ask but didn’t. We parked on the Costco side. There is a cement kind of garden thing with the trees coming out in between Walmart parking lot and Costco parking lot a bunch of people parked on the Walmart side and we parked against it on the Costco side at the back of the lot and we were not bothered one other person parked next to us. a bunch of them parked on the Walmart side and there were no issues. There are some homeless people around here but they are very nice. We went to dinner and were able to buy dinner from one of them so that was nice and they were very thankful, even bowing their heads with thankfulness. Look on his face when we gave him a Zevia lol priceless. But in all seriousness, this place was pretty cool and we are just now leaving and it is 8:49 AM. Not too loud at all as long as sirens don’t come flying by. And there was also a street sweeper at night but it wasn’t that loud.

The parking lot is not as big as some other Walmarts. I parked away from the store near Eyeglass Works. There were a couple of vans and cars that appeared to be staying for the night in that part of the lot. I arrived at 10:30 pm and I saw what looked like a security vehicle near the store. I did not approach them and I never was bothered. Slept until 8 am and hung out for a while longer. With no trouble. Most of the other vans and cars were gone by the time I woke up. Very strong Version 5G cell service.

Bon spot pour passer la nuit en sécurité. un garde patrouille toute la nuit en véhicule avec gyrophares.
En revanche, extrêmement bruyant à partir de 5h du matin.

Nice spot for the night. Quiet and the Walmart opens early for the morning bathroom break 😉. Friendly security guard came by when we were having breakfast to ask where our car was from (European license plates).

Asked the security guy but he didn’t know if we were allowed or not to sleep here. Didn’t take the risk to be awake so we went to planet fitness to sleep just before crossing the border to Baja.

Stayed here for one night. Security patrolled the parking lot throughout the night and I felt safe. There were other vehicles that stayed overnight as well. A quiet night with no issues.

Busy Walmart parking lot with security patrolling frequently. We asked the security patrol and they were okay with us staying for the night as long as we parked on the farthest row from Walmart. It's definitely a good idea to ask security before you park overnight, otherwise you may get a knock in the middle of the night.

FYI as far as we know this Walmart closes at 11pm.
