If you want more peace and not pay like in Punta Final, this place fits the bill. Road is a bit sandy but not bad, 2x ok lots of washboard if you come from the south entrance (turn at. 29.71141° N, 114.40530° W ) the last 150 ft to the beach has really soft sand. Lots of shells, nobody around . Your turn is 600m before the punta final gate (29.73045° N, 114.32464° W)

Report Check-In

This place is now privately owned. The owner was nice and would have let us stay the night, but we went to the 4x4 spot down the road where we could drive up onto the beach.

I second everything the landcruiser guy said. came with our lifted 4runner did get it stuck for a sec coming in, the road gets real skinny by the fence, and I didn't pull off with enough umph, aired down to 20 psi and cruised the rest of the way stopping just after the final dune, kinda between 2 dunes, 75 ft ish from high tide mark. might be able to fit 2 smaller rigs, but yes the sand is soft so all the recovery stuff definitely a good idea. One jeep drive by on the beach, no one else in site

You certainly need 4x4!
And only for small vehicles, because you shouldn't be too heavy in this soft sand. You have to have the possibility to deflate/inflate your tires. Only for cars like Landcruiser or Defender or similar or perhaps Sprinters will make it. And be sure you have tools to get the car out of the sand if it's necessary.
We didn't get stucked with our Landcruiser&rooftoptent, but needed two tries to make it up to the last dune with seaview (deflated the tires to about 1bar).

You can park just before the dunes (no sea-view). This area has easier access and nice leveled spots, too. We deflated our tires here.
On the dune you have a great view, but only space for one car on leveled ground. But it's lovely up here!! Whole area really quiet and not busy.

Tried to go here but road sand was too soft for our 14’ travel trailer, attached a picture for reference. Went to Punta Final instead as our backup.
