We spend the night in here encouraged by the very good reviews. After the mall closed, there were only 2 or 3 more cars in the parking lot. At 1:30 more or less I woke up to a weird noise and movement of our van. There was a young man trying to steal our driver side mirror. There was another guy a few yards away, they were together and saying they they were only looking for a place to sleep. Security came a few minutes later and acortes them outside the parking lot.

There are a lot of comments from other overlanders explaining their experience having their mirrors stolen in Chulula/Puebla. Just be extra careful in this town.

Currently parked up here with no issues - we didn't ask anyone - just parked and are now sleeping in the van. The mall is nice - cheap enough food court & cinema as well. Looks like a 1/2 hour walk to the center of town and the pyramid - so we will leave our car parked here tomorrow and walk on in to town to avoid paying parking fees.

Bathrooms in the mall and a gym as someone else mentioned for showering if you want to pay a trial fee.

We spent a night here. As they said a little bit noisy but it was fine. It felt safe. Free wifi at the mall. Toilets there open at 10am, so you can go to the ones at the Aurrera, that open at 8am.

Stayed one night here, no problems. Asked at sams club and they said no because night security locks the gates...perfect! We said that’s non problem and they directed us to security outside. We asked the security in the mall and they said no problem. It was pretty quiet overnight here.

Mall closes at 2200 hours, not sure what time the gates are open, but we’re leaving now and it’s 0730.

after a long day visiting Puebla and Cholula we decided to check out San Diego's Mall. it was a great choice.
even tho we went there on a Friday night (everyone advice against going there on weekends) we did just gave 20 pesos to one the parking guys that took care the area where we parked and told him if he care for us to stay for a while. we sealed our van so no lights could be seen form outside and went to bed. around 8:30 pm we didn't open again our door.

great sleep no noise until morning cleaning started in the parking around 7:30 am.
washrooms in the mall are good and if you want showers and steam bath you can go to the gym inside the mall and pay 120 pesos for a "try out" and have a good morning workojt, shower and steam bath.

It's a mall. And it's a popular mall. So avoid on the weekends. We pulled in at 6pm on a Saturday in December and it was awful! We have a big rig so it was insane trying to make super tight turns while selfish mall shoppers were crowding around.

The security guards initially told us we could not stay over night but then relented. They change shifts at 9pm and advised us not to answer the door and have no lights on after 9.

As expected it's loud here.

They lock the gates to the parking lot at midnight and open them again at 6:30am.

Avoid this place on the weekends!

Asked a security guard, and he said no at first. We pleaded for a bit, because we were desperate and then he agreed. Big parkinglot with big mall and cinema.

It's possible overnight here. Free bathroon until 10 p.m. Restaurants, fast food and market. Free WiFi in food plaza.
