Something not right?

Description

Visited during rainy season.
Very good access road. Eastern side of ring road hardly used due to a fallen tree halfway. Very overgrown at this time.
Western side in better condition but don’t expect any great views as the road stays in the forest.
This position was the only place we managed to squeeze through the trees into the open plain with a great view. No wildlife except for birds. Very peaceful atmosphere. Good place to relax undisturbed.
Bush camping officially allowed.
Pay your fees at the DNPW office in Kawambwa near the filling station (might take some time, visitors are rare…)

Latest Check-Ins

Roads are pretty hard so even in the wet it’s a easy drive. We stayed two nights just to the right of this location but a few other options if you look around.
No wildlife but a very beautiful spot to spend a couple of nights in the bush. Top roads around the plain are quite overgrown.

We tried to pay park fees in town but no one knew what was going on. No one to stop you from just going straight in.

Report Check-In

Road is good but can get soaked/slippery in places after heavy rain. Use caution.
