All as described. Ana spent the whole day with us. Also went with us to do the apostille we needed to transfer one of our vehicles to the other person (later at the border they didn’t ask for it!). But better safe than sorry.

Perfect place for the night before crossing the border. Still 30.000 COP per car (we are two persons and a dog). Clean bathroom. As already stated from others, they have two big Rottweilers that they let outside in the night to guard the property. So you cannot leave the vehicle during that time. But she talks to you first about the time, she let's them out (in our case from 8pm to 6am).
You will have to drive into the border to turn around and to get to their place.

Big parking lot. Surprisingly quiet and safe for its location. You can plugin your car if you need, there is bathroom, internet and you are really close to the border to cross whenever you need. There are cameras and they let the dogs out during the night so it should be safe. Ana is a great host and an interesting person to chat with. I recommend sending a message before coming here to make sure you’ll find someone.

Report Check-In

We arrived end of day and decided it was best to not drive any further. We were unsure at first if the place was still open, but they currently only do events at the site and the restaurant is not open.

The morning after our stay, our car battery decided to die and we were stuck. However, Ana jumped to the occasion and immediately activated all the emergency lines to get us back on the road again. A borrowed battery and visit to the best shop in town got us on the road again and we spend a fun morning and lunch with her, before heading North.

Thank you again Ana - You’re amazing!

Nice place for camping before leaving Colombia or immediately after arriving. Place is big, has full blown restaurant on site. Amazing family to strike a conversation about Colombia and/or Latin America history, it can go a long way.. water is available. Family will try to help anyway they can if you or your vehicle need anything. Ana speaks fluent English. Highly recommended.

We are the first clients on the new Caming Colibri Campeste.

If you have to cross boarder early or you arrive late in the afternoon, absolutely best option.

For us the best and most secure place in Ipiales. It is a large finca with restaurant. Space for about 10 motorhomes. Washing area is ready except showers (next weeks ready)
The restaurant is open only Friday Saturday and Sunday.

The owner Charlos Jr. and his sister Ana can arrange breakfast and food delivery for you.
