Description

Parking Lot in beautiful City Park, stayed 2 nights in van with no issue, couple other vans in lot, full ATT service, very quiet place to stay in City and the park is spectacular, crapper across street, WiFi at Noma cafe, regular parking lot so wouldn't try anything larger than van

Latest Check-Ins

We spent 4 nights here in total and it was only on the last night that the park police came by to let us know that there was no parking after dark. He was very friendly and when we told him we’d be leaving early in the morning he said “ oh, so you’ll be leaving shortly?” Wink wink.
He suggested if anyone else came by to talk to us that we tell them “we are leaving shortly”
No one else came by
There were three other vans parked over night and they were all still there in the morning too.
I’d suggest if you stay to be as low key as possible. No bbqs or lawn chairs!
It may have been our bbq that for us busted but when we told the officer we were just warming up ribs that we bought locally he grinned.
A lovely spot to get some nature after the business of the French Quarter.

We had a wonderful and quiet night here. There’s flush toilets, sinks and a playground for kids or for a workout! The lake is lovely and there’s lots of benches etc to sit on and contemplate life.
The bike route from the park takes you down the Esplande right to the French Quarter but we preferred to park closer in as there’s lots of parking then ride our bikes from there as it’s a long ride to a from the French quarter from City Park especially when it gets dark at 5pm!
Lovely spot. We will be staying a. Few more days
