Fantastic place right by the sea. 4x4 needed to come here in the snow, otherwise it would be OK. On the way to the square you can find other good spots. Be sure to take Chem du Phare as the other route is very washed out.
......
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Superbe place.
if you are coming from Percé direction, DO NOT follow Google maps if it takes you down Rte Allain. Gnarliest road I've taken in a while down and at the bottom it narrows a lot with trees ready to kiss your paintwork.
Make sure to go down Chem du Phare. It's a bit bumpy, but infinitely better.
The site is beautiful, plenty of space, lovely coastal views. I haven't found the toilet yet.
Report Check-InBeautiful but take chemine du phare and not route allain there's a big pothole just 500m after beginning. At least 30cm deep and 1,5m wide, maybe passable if you got a 4x4 cheap and you re experienced. I had to go backwards back up the hill.
But chemin du phare was ok, stunning spot. thanks.
Report Check-InUnbelievable stay! Saw lots of diving dart Garnett's and some whale fins. Small road at the end to get to the spot was pretty bumpy and drove through a large puddle but just take it slow.
Report Check-InGreat place as described. Rough road go slow. Careful if u climb down to beach. We were the only ones overnight. One fisherman left and ate gone b4 dark.
Report Check-InGorgeous spot!!
Bit of a drive to get in, but great fishing off the rocks. Very popular spot as it filled up by evening.
Great spot, people friendly. 4x4 not required but a little rough on the tiny road.
Report Check-InUnbelievable. Everyone is so welcoming. Clean. We’ll maintained. Great place east to access and beyond chill. Best in the region so far.
Report Check-Innice beautiful spot to stay for the night right near the ocean. Not closed, only one spot to the right of the lookout has been closed. The rest remains open.
Report Check-InGood spot with some permanent/seasonal rigs in place. The road in is not suited for bigger rigs. it's a 3km narrow dirt road that would be challenging if you meet another vehicle.
Report Check-InGreat spot right on the water. There is a spot you can walk down to the ocean also. Road is a bit rougher once you get past the parking lot.
Report Check-InNice place by the beach. A lot of space, few différents spots.
2 roads on googles maps to get here. The Fort one named route Allain is not suitable for cars. We had to turn back. It is Better to get here by rue du Phare, nice road for all kinds of cars as well as RVs
Report Check-InStill available! Plenty of fire / camp spots for tents, sleeping on the beach is possible (plenty of driftwood there too). Possible without a SUV, you just wont get to the end but the camp spot isn’t far anyways.
Report Check-InRoad to the small parking lot was easy to reach with our little SUV 2wheel drive. The last couple meters to the cliff where pretty rough though. We made it down but it took us couple hours to make it back up. (Lucky us). So you definitely need a 4*4 for that part. There is always the option to spend the night at that little parking lot (no view though and lots of mosquitos..at least when we’ve been there) or you carry your tent down to the cliff. We did not spend the night there but the place on the cliff did look amazing.
Report Check-InMagic place by the sea. Many sites to choose from, just take a walk to see all hidden places. road is no problem for any kind of vehicle.
Report Check-Inamazing view for the night
there other vr / van (around 7/8) but the place is big enough
You don't have to go as far on the trek as suggested. I have a Yaris Sedan and I had to stop at the parking and walk to the beach but it was extremely nice right there. There was some grass and a fire spot on top of a cliff with an incredible view. The road is very rough to the parking but completely impossible without a 4x4 once you pass the parking.
Report Check-InIncredible place, been there twice now and most likely will return. Short walk to more beaches along each direction of the coast. Locals maintain the land and empty the garbages. There is often a portable toilet a short walk from most of the campsites and there are many sites to choose from.
Report Check-InPark with over the see ! Perfect for the sunrise (and whales). 3km on a dirt road but it's okay for any type of car.
This was our favourite camp of the whole Gaspé peninsula. We saw a whale when we pulled in to the grassy spot overlooking the sea. Very private spot. Lots of wild raspberries too.
Report Check-InSuperbe place...
Report Check-InI would advise not to try and follow the coordinators all the way to the end of the dirt road, it becomes very narrow and the road very rocky and my 4 wheel drive, which is an old Ford Escape, couldn't get over a broken stone pipe about 750 ms from the end so had to turn around. there is a place about a km or so in where the road turns. We stayed there. very beautiful and peaceful. No mosquitos and saw seals in the morning.
Report Check-Innice place but the road bad. Nedd a 4X4 to get to that place. nice and quiet.
no light and a few place.
one of our favourite spots. beautiful view of the ocean with a pristine spot for snorkeling and swimming. plenty of dry wood for a fire and fire rings for a camp fire. saw whales, bird and seals. also went the tide recedes at the beach area there are tide pools teaming with life from lobsters and crabs to fish and sea erchants. nice wind at the spot so not too many bugs.
Amazing spot !!! The road is okay (we have an old camper van and it was fine if you drive carefully). We saw a lot of whales from the van and while having breakfast on the bellevedere. Go there !
Report Check-InNo need for 4x4, unless you want to go to the end of the road. The road is a bit bumpy and has some holes, but it was fine for our grand caravan.
We just stayed at the spot near the toilet. We walked a bit further and the view is great. There were 4 other cars overnight.
Definitely recommend this place. We also saw 2 porcupines.
Wonderful and quiet space. You first pass a park where you can probably park for the night too. Then another camp spot but it seemed to be taken by someone staying a longer period. Just continue driving, the road gets worse but we did not need 4x4 (maybe after rain or in winter). You find a perfect spot right on the pebble beach.
Report Check-InRV's do not pass! There is a 3km gravel road with thin passages and holes. We had to turn back at 1.5km with our 23' RV. Too bad.
Report Check-InVery good place to stay ! Very quiet and nice view.
We saw 5 Wales in the morning!!!
Great location. Very quiet. You do need a 4x4 to get to the indicated spot but we didn't have to go that far to find a good spot. Mobile toilet in the parking lot.
Report Check-InYou need a 4x4 to go all the way to the stone beach, but it's possible to park on the area just before the beach. In July here are quite many RV's using generators all night. Great view. Visit out of season.
Report Check-InThe place is called Park Colbone. 3km on gravelroad, no 4WD necessary in summer, RVs should also be able to drive there. 3 or 4 spots above the cliffs, great view!
