Awesome little space. Even large rigs will be hidden from any passerby.
Not the most luxurious or awe-inspiring place but an epic spot for one night and it’s protected from any wind.

we arrived after sunset, easy to find
some traffic noise but quiet night
no shade, so stones get hot and it takes a while to cool down
no views from the campsite but if you go to the crest you can see the lake
two huts 200 m from the campsite but no disturbance
Pleasant flat land to spend the night, near an old little quarry. Beautiful view of the bush and the lake. Little traffic, rather well isolated, no network coverage. Do not take into account the commentary concerning the hot springs, it has nothing to do with this place.
Report Check-InA big stone quarry right on the road, nowhere to really camp. Does not look anything like the picture and miles away from any water. Wouldn’t recommend

UPDATE: 29/11/2021
You can wild camp just outside the hot springs. Huuggeee open space, But you won’t get the security guards benefits from being inside the hot springs area And you won’t get the benefit of being the first ones to swim in the hot springs early in the morning.
Having it allll to yourself is just the most amazing thing. Bring a set of swimming goggles / snorkelling gear to really appreciate the crystal clear water, the small fish and the natural water holes inside the hot spring.
Again, water isn’t hot, just nice and warm.
