Report Check-InSan Carlos beach area, beautiful
Spent two nights, didn’t sleep on beach but according to policia we did.
The police officer told my wife 1000pesos fine while I was paddling.
When I returned and wife filled me in, he told me 2000 with no receipt. I told him I knew he told the wife 1000.
Had little cash and showed him.
If we didn’t pay we had to go to police station and it was 7000. He wanted to be bribed so I called him on it.
We went to police station in Guaymas to pay fine and it was only 1344 pesos (still expensive) although we tried to plea our case of not being on beach and the police man had disappeared.
Filed complaint about trying to charge us 7000.
Of course they didn’t care
You have been warned!!!!!!!
Still a beautiful area 🤙🏻
