Latest Check-Ins

Remote and desolate, not for everyone. Pretty much a gravel lot with hook ups and long term residents. This isnt an RV park. I saw telescopes but nothing else. Apparently it use to be a workers camp for something in the area and now selling it as whatever the website says, but it's a windy gravel lot with barking dogs. Priced accordingly. (with passport America discount)

1 bathroom (shower, toilet, sink)
3 washers, 3 dryers $2.50 per load.
Sites by day, week, month, or lease a site for $12,500 for 99 years :-)
Staying on a site our friends own, so no charge. It can be very windy.
FHUs.

I camped in my van here for two nights. Prices are extremely reasonable. Host was friendly, and the entire place seems like a little bit of a hub for Animas. Bathroom was clean and shower was hot. The brains behind the Roost have a vision for something that's more of a community than just an RV park. It's definitely worth the stay.

La description première est toujours correct.

New RV Park in former work camp. Great people, we were invited to join a fire circle. Laundry on site ($2.50/ load wash & dry).

They are trying to make it an artist community.

Very unattractive place, but friendly guy and great value $15 for full hook-up incl WiFi. we only went as we needed to dump oyr black-waste cassette and fill with water. Good stop if you need facilities.

Feels very remote but is quickly accessible from interstate 10! A beautiful serene Mountain View!

The price is low, the people are quiet and friendly, the amenities all work, the shower is hot, and the laundry is included - what more could you ask for? The space itself isn't much to look at, but the view is pretty good and the host is great. The lot is just dirt and grass/weeds, but there's tons of space so we were able to park far enough away from others that my antisocial cat felt comfortable. Based on the website, I was expecting some sort of White middle class idea of "counter-culture," which I wasn't looking forward to, but my (very brief) impression was infinitely better: diverse folks creating community in the middle of nowhere and making it work. We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely return if passing through this area again.

This place is a work in progress but for $25 ($12.50 with Passport America) you get all the facilities you need. very early in the reconstruction process. used to be a mining construction camp with 450 trailer pads. 18 of them are up and running again. Wish Curly Bill ałl the best in getting this place fully up and running. Very friendly. Excellent Wifi.

Quiet and friendly. Curly (Gene) is a wonderful and helpful host. We paid $15 for full hook-up. Gene has a telescope and will show you a few planets in the evenings. He has a lot of knowledge to share!

Directly under the gaze of the Chiracahua mountains and the New Mexico night sky, smugglers roost offers friendly companionship freshly roasted coffee and stargazing to your hearts content. Centrally located to mountains, caves, indigenous culture, and extensive birdwatching, this location with its hosts vision of a natural theme park and trading hub is a must visit for community oriented, artists, visionaries, and craftspeople. The potential of this place is astounding. I’ll be back. Bri g
