Police told us it it not safe at all, and not allowed to camp! Boats with narco traffic frequent the place, so we went to the hotel and could camp there

Report Check-InIf you take the road to the left going from the parkinglot there is a nice grassy pullout with little trash. We camped there for 4 days for kitesurfing
Report Check-InWith a 4x4 we drove down to the beach! Nearly no trash! No moskitos, no sandbugs.
Report Check-InTo clarify something. All the road to Punta Chame is paved. Perfect condition, only the last 300 meters to the beach are sandy. Potholes negligible.
We drive a heavy duty truck and could fit our rig several dozens of times in that huge area. Easily accessible with a large vehicle, possible to drive directly on the almost white sand. If the plastic wouldn't be, that could be a fabulous location.
Anyway its great and perfect for a night or two. Nice windy.
Before you get to the sandy road you will find many grassy parking areas to your left. From there we got a very strong WiFi signal. Kite-guest is open and super fast.
Report Check-InPerfect spot if you're trying to get out of the city and enjoy a quiet night. We stayed here after picking up our van from colon. Worth the drive out here. A few potholes at the start but really glad we came out here. Also near to Nitro City Panama.
Report Check-InFree parking in hard packed sand lot, 4x4 not required, follow main road in Punta Chame to the end. Their will be two fence posts, beyond that is a wide open lot. The photo is of the beach in front of the lot.
