Description

This place is awesome! Great cell phone service yet far enough away from the town to find solitude. Road is paved until you turn off to many different campsites. Bathrooms and a garbage disposal if needed

Nice area with fire pit made. You pass the toilets about half a mile before this place. Only 1 car passes through all night. Very quiet. There’s a flowing creek nearby which is cool

Report Check-In

Nice spot on the hill, sunny till en dof the day (in winter time).
very quiet and nice view. Need maybe 4x4 for the last 5 meters.

Drove in around 5:30 pm on a Wednesday; lots of permanent looking dwellers towards the front along the river. I kept driving towards the back and found a level spot adjacent the main road. As it got dark, the traffic driving by stopped and was very quiet at night. As others have mentioned, very strong LTE (Verizon) and a well paved road winding thru the area.

Quiet site during the week. Weekends there were many ATVs and Dirtbikes. 5G with GFi. Creek down the hill, pit toilets by the entrance. Some of the sites have fire pits. Paved main road, well maintained dirt roads.

this is an amazing spot. i was trying to go up 155 into Sequoia but the road was closed. I pulled into the parking area outside this place just to get my bearings and figure out what was next. Another nomad said there was BLM dispersed camping so I checked it out. It was Easter weekend and this is an ATV dirt bike spot. I was amazed to find a spot at all but I did. the side roads are pretty rough from all the rain. I took a spot pretty close to the paved main road. It was private - no one camped near me. great sun for my solar. 4-5G Verizon all the time. spot was level - actually perfect slightly sloped to drivers side so I sleep cradled but my drawers stay closed-
there is a beautiful creek and lots of places to walk. i can hear the dirt bikes some during the day, an occasional dog barking and a few cars on the road. it is close to Lake Isabella for major stores and stuff. once the weekend folks leave I am going to look for a spot more off the road.

We didn’t find any pit toilets, but camp spots are dispersed enough to put up our thunderbox. Very noisy all night from the dam construction project running 24 hours. Not sure if it’s quiet weekends and holidays but this Monday night was a constant crashing and bashing of rocks and beeping of backup alarms on trucks and tractors.
