Awesome spot. Was headed to another spot and found this. Been here 2 days and no probs. Still picking up other people’s trash, sorta sucks.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Came back to check out this cool spot, and it’s really nice this year. There’s one van camped here as well. I hope everyone enjoys this place. Still found some trash and broken bottles. (Insert sad face here)
Report Check-InSmall area with about 4 campsites next to paved road. Suitable for 2WD and small RVs. Long RVs and trailers might have trouble navigating between the trees.
Despite being backwoods, adjacent road is heavily used, including logging trucks--about a dozen in the 1.5 days I was here.
The best campsite is farthest from the road and level. Unfortunately, it is trashed with used toilet paper everywhere and even someone's s*** bucket. Learn to dig a hole, people! Disgusting.
The next most level site is direct site of the road with frequent headlights throughout the night as cars turn the corner.
Huge bonus and why I stayed over a day is 3-4 bars of 5G coverage from AT&T.
Report Check-InThis is a National Forest where dispersed camping is allowed. We used a spot with a view a bit further down (38.08516° N, 120.12704° W), with a fire ring. Somebody left some fire wood and trash. Fires can be made only if you have a fire permit and today, you even need one for your stove. AT&T signal.
