Description

Beautiful pulloff in the forest on lake Thornton outside of Munising. Next to a great trail. We tried the forest campground but it was closed for the season. Near a road but very quiet and peaceful! Free. 16 day limit on sign. Only tent camping down the path allowed.

Latest Check-Ins

This is a day use only site for boats and fishing. NO CAMPING ALLOWED. Not sure if this changed or they got lucky but no go here.

Report Check-In

Stayed here one night in a van and also an A-Liner camper. Horrible storm went through. Ranger stopped by the next morning to say no camping allowed as it is a boat ramp, but hike in/tent camping is allowed down the path.

Great spot on lake. Posted 16 day limit. Bugs 🐜 are territorial. Stayed a few days no issues.
