Description

Secluded beach camping in the McFadden National Wild life Preserve. Free Camping right on the beach just a few feet from the water. No crowds. Had this 4 mile section of beach all to myself. No amenities. it’s boondock beach camping like most of the beach camping on Texas coast. If you like seclusion with very few passers-by and beautiful scenic skies, warm water, surf, wildlife, and fresh ocean air, this is the place. Nearest town is 15 miles. This is a 17 mile stretch of secluded beach. Soft white sand, lots of bird species like Brown Pelicans and white Herring, saw some dolphins, and shrimp boats cruising by. 4x4 not required but recommended during certain times of the year. Most of the sand you drive on is hard packed depending on tide level. Check tide chart before heading out. Bring your fishing pole and water toys. Perfect temps in October. Cell signal is 2-3 bars w/ Verizon.
