So cool! This tag is the Grandstand and the Racetrack is about two miles south of here.
In dry conditions, a 2WD with all terrain tires and regular clearance will make it here just fine. I didn’t need to engage 4x4 at all and feel HCL isn’t necessary. There are definitely sharp rocks to drive over but it doesn’t require technical skill to make it down here. Just go slow and pay attention to the road. Took about 2 hours from Ubehebe Crater driving 15 mph in a Sprinter Van.
