stayed in the national forest, the road is quite bumpy but I was able to get through with my SUV. Multiple areas to pull off with a fire pit set up a long the road. the spot I had got 2-3 bars for Verizon. very limited traffic overnight and a decent overlook!

stayed the night here it was quite other then the few cars driving by. It's a rough drive in a 2 wheel drive van with iffy shocks so beware. there are site all along the road so really just pick one that works for your rig. Great view of the mountains through the trees.

I am treating this as a megathread cuz lots of spots on this road. the road is okay for a sedan upto this point and a little bit further. the gravel road sometimes have pits in it so drive carefully for a low profile car.
the campsite is pretty awesome with a fire ring. if you don't want bother gathering firewood remember to bring your own

Lots of options along this road for any vehicle to drive easily up until just past here. There is one more great spot to pull off into with fire ring, and then the road is all torn up, with giant ruts on a steep section of the road that I in my Astro Van didn’t want to risk.

Flat level spot but right on the road, gorgeous mt views between the trees and a tiny fire ring.

Lots of traffic even now, at 8pm on a Friday. Hopefully that ends soon.
