Something not right?

Description

Once you hit the main parking area for the Pond just keep following the dirt road that runs parallel with the creek. Plenty of spots with rock fire rings. This is my second time staying here, and both times I thoroughly enjoyed the peace. No amenities, be self-sufficient! BLM land.

stayed here for 4 nights and it was great! if you like stargazing this is the place. it is very quiet and more than enough places to choose from. it is official BLM land with a 14 day limit. people do come a lot to hike and we heard some gun fires but from afar and not often. as per the last review it's confirmed there are rats or some type of rodents that likes to go in the engines for warmth. other than that this place is very nice only 25 min out of the city.

Dirt camping spots. Stayed for several weeks with no problems at all.

Beautiful location. Only a few people at the day use area and then 3 other camp set ups that I saw. Take the path past the day use area and follow it along the canal and there are tons of spots.
BUT beware of rats. A review on another app mentioned rats, and I thought it was random since no one else mentioned it. In the middle of the night I heard some thuds and bumps in my front end. Lifted the hood and sure enough, there was a rat that scurried away. I wouldn't stay here again for that reason, despite being a beautiful spot.

Beautiful sage green landscape with a stunning pond and picturesque canals. Quiet enough even though there are a few dispersed campers around. Thankfully no hunting was happening while I stayed here in mid-June. Perhaps it’s a seasonal thing.

Great place! spent the day/night. we stayed closer towards the pond, but it goes further back. easy to find. quiet and peaceful ✌️ picnic tables set up around pond. there was one other camper, a sheriff drove by a couple times, and people came to visit the pond. No one bothered us.

The spot itself is nice but the constant flow of hunters shooting within 100 yards of the parking areas is concerning and annoying. Woke up to several gunshots around 7 and continued throughout the day. Pretty spot for a day but wouldn’t recommend if you enjoy sleeping.
