Privately run campground and rv park adjacent to Yellowstone Hot Springs. About 18 walk-in type tent sites and two separate RV areas. Showers free to guests ($3 for non-guests) or go next door to the Hot Springs and get a $2 discount and use showers there after taking a dip. Free wifi. Iffy cell service. Not the quietest spot: near to highway and the hot spring is open until 9pm so cars driving right by tent sites. Water spigot to fill our water tank included as well. All for $25 plus tax for tent site. Reserve online but we showed up at 5pm and there were plenty of sites still available.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Alongside the river $65 ex tax. Camping spot $25 ex, you are parked along the dirt road to the hot springs (hot springs closed on Mondays) no electricity. Shower blok, new build for gnomes? Even on Mondays, 50 cars passed each our, in the late afternoon.
Save the money.
Arrived to find the site empty, but well set-up for in-season use. Sign at camp office read “closed for season”. Moved on down the road…
