Boat ramp on nice small lake on west side of Hwy 16. 8.4 miles north of Beach off I-94. Large grassy area with places to pull off the gravel road and park. No signage indicating parking limitations. We spent a quiet night here.

Nice quiet out-of-the-way spot with only minor occasional noise from the state highway to the east. Several more camp spots as you follow the gravel road around the lake. Yes, it can be windy, but this is North Dakota, so that's how it goes. We were here in mid-September, and even with the wind, there were a lot of flies.
We picked up a couple bags of garbage from one camp spot, probably from slob hunters, judging by the shotgun shell casings. Please pack your garbage out. And no, beer cans don't burn, so keep them out of the fire rings. Leave this place better than you found it, otherwise camp at Walmart.
Report Check-InFew nice pull-through spots with fire rings by a small lake. Mosquitos the size of birds.
Report Check-InGood place to camp or park your van. Lots of cow patties, and a bit exposed, so could be windy.
I had the place to myself. In the morning I could hear the nearby construction.
