Great place super chill mid week busy on the weekends just like anything else. Showers are hot, only 1 shower per bathroom. No local stores so being everything you need.
On the national park pass only the senior, vets and disabled card holder get the discount the basic annual pass doesn’t give you the discount. Also it was $20-$30 per site with discount $10-$15. Ones without hook ups and the other is water and electric . But each site has water hook ups. There is a dump station.
We travel full time in a skoolie so paying the $20 was a really great deal once you added up all the extra. Most places just to dump your tank $10 Then water $5 showers not that we don’t have one in the bus, you looking at another $10. And there is Wi-Fi but don’t count on it. Verizon 2 bars metro 0

We stayed 4 nights at site 41. Pretty level, back in. Lovely walks all around. very friendly lovely place and bathrooms although old, showing signs of age, were always clean and stocked.
We would definitely come back. $15 with interagency and senior type passes. east to book online.
Lots of deer on road, so be cautious. plus stock up on perishables before arriving.

Verizon signal was great at our site with weboost. Campground wifi only works near entrance.

Stayed for 9 nights. Very calm and relaxing place. Site 55 was fairly level. There is WiFi available, but you need to be close to the check in booth to get a descent signal. I have T-Mobile, data was slow and cell reception was ok. Showers are free and mostly clean. Paid $30/day for water and electric. Need a reservation to stay. There is a lot of wildlife around. Coyotes, various birds, rabbits, tarantulas and squirrels. The lake is a bit lacking. The road up to the recreation area was absolutely horrible. I am surprised my RV didn’t fall apart. But once in the park the roads are good. For a feeling of being separate from city life it is the best. Recommend it!

This is way out in the middle of nowhere on roads that can be very curvy/rough if you're driving them late at night.

We arrived well after the ranger station was closed and had to pay/reserve online. Unfortunately, AT&T and T-Mobile were both very spotty. Once we reserved, we easily fit our 25ft Sprinter rental on CODO #6. Quiet and safe for the night
