Very nice and quiet place to stay, nobody bother us during our stay. The access road is a bit bumpy and narrow, good Claro signal

Report Check-In

All as described, quiet and remote spot. If you navigate via: 14°10′57.64″S 71°21′10.29″W there is no problem for big rigs. Then follow the description of “not a slow car - fast house”
At 8 in the evening 2 polite policemen knocked at the door. After they had called whom ever, we could stay for the night
From here you can go for a walk to the volcano Quimsachata/ 400 m elevation gain. Good “mirador” over the valley.

Perfect place to stay overnight, very quiet and friendly people! To find this place, follow below description. But don’t follow the blue sign at the roadside of PE-3S to drive to the Agua Medicinal site, neither drive to the place where it’s mentioned at Maps.me. Take the turnoff at -14.18404, -71.352067 and then immediately to the right. You’ll see the Agua Medicinal site right in front of you. We hiked to the top of the volcano, it’s a very pretty hike (at the end no real path anymore), in this period (rainy season) flowers everywhere!

Spent two peaceful nights here. To locate it, come in from the South and turn on the dirt road. Go to the Agua Medicinales (they are cold). Then curve on the dirt road around behind the rock wall. That opens up into the sports field, cemetery area.
We walked the Inca Trail (approx 3 miles round trip) to the ruins. Intense sun but beautiful hike. Took the dogs and tied them up in shade near ruins. Take water. You can also buy things at ruins. Possible to catch bus or taxi back if you prefer. Several other hikes from this campsite.

This is absolutely beautiful place. Good claro reception

Report Check-In

Legit, a few minutes off the highway. I parked at the edge of the semi abandoned soccer field. Local farmers walked past in the morning, I walked the Inca Trail in the morning to get the feel of history.

Report Check-In

PS good mobile reception with Claro.

This spot is as described, but we had some problems finding it since our GPS map didn't show the streets. Also, the streets are narrow - we just managed to squeeze by a large rock and some of the trees hang over the road and really scratched the truck. We mention this as a warning to big rig owners.

Very quiet and pleasant place. Thank you
