Champion Road goes back quite a ways. Probably 20 dispersed campsites here. It's beautiful and quiet. Just a little bit of trash and dog poop left behind from previous users. (Can we all remember to pack out ALL of our—and our pets'—waste?)

Pros: This is a lovely spot to camp. Very quiet (we were the only ones here on a Tuesday evening). Would even consider bringing horses to camp. No reception for Verizon or AT&T but was a quick 35 minute drive down the mountain to take some work calls.
There are dozens of spots to camp. Some would require a more rugged vehicle but we were in a Subaru pulling a 14 foot trailer and we picked one close to the entrance and it was great.
Cons: trash and burnt cans left by previous campers which we will pick up before we leave.Report Check-In
