March 2017 - the beach strip opened up again (after construction). so it's possible to drive there now!
We stayed on the beach in front of bahia club as we didn't want to go mich further to check out the other spots. Mid april so off season and quiet. Some people there in the evening but we were alone for the night. No facilities and free but probably not an option in high season.

Beautiful beach. Felt very safe. One bathroom was open from 10-18.00. Toilet 300, shower 1000. we used the cold outdoor showers at the beach. Recommend the place!
Report Check-InNice beachfront, big playground, only a few load people in the night, feel very safe
Report Check-InBeautiful and very long beach. super calm in early december. Nice toilet for 300CLP. Free cold shower at the beach. Nice village with restaurants. Super safe. No one at night. Other overlanders.
Report Check-InQuiet place along the coast to spend the night. Road has lights so felt safe. A few other cars parked overnight.
Report Check-InGot broken into our van while we were in town for a drink... so not recommended by us.
Report Check-Inwe've spent a very quiet night here, just near the ocean. we were not alone : 3 motorhome were there. we've arrived late (21h30) and it was very quiet. we've seen the carabineros having a check in the bech and the street. we've felt very safe
Report Check-InGood spot, we park and the parking lots which are iluminated and have trash cans close by. We have a 2WD and usually don’t drive on the sand.
Some cars passed by during the night and during, but we slept perfectly.
During the day there was more cars passing by, some times fast, which worried us a bit for our little puppy.
Buen sitio, iluminado , frente al mar, ningún servicio, por la noche los fines de semana puede tener ruido de gente haciendo fiesta. GRATIS 😁
Report Check-InParking strip and gazebos are open and can park on street.
Report Check-InThe place is not closed anymore and building a new promenade is finished. We stayed here overnight and it was very nice.
Report Check-Inthey are building a new promenade until the Bahia Club, it's not possible to drive to the beach.
