Description

Very nice place to see the setting sun, rest or just watch the water and bird life. The salt marshes are a world shorebird reserve.

RECOMMENDED: Pull into the gas station first, then cross the highway to get onto the causeway. Much easier than trying to make the turn with transport trucks barreling down at you at 110km/h!

We stayed without issue, almost no cars at night and a few in the morning. It's windy but otherwise a very nice place to stay. We saw lots of birds on the way out including American Avocets.

The salt marshes are a world shorebird reserve, and host over 200 species of migratory birds. This is a great spot on a causeway through the marsh. We had a great sunset, moon, stars, and sunrise. And saw many different bird species, including tundra swans, which are one of the largest birds that fly. There are several pullout spots along the causeway, we stayed in the farthest one from the highway and it was nice and quiet.

Perfect spot to enjoy the sunset, was quiet once it's dark even if it's close to highway. you can hear a bit the trains from far away but it's wasn't a issue. Spend a night there

Little pullout off road between two lakes. Wonderful place to sit on the rocks and watch the gills and the highway. Could walk to the gas station if needed. Very flat and open

Nice view of the lake and very silent at night. One car passed at one point but other than that great spot.

wonderful place for one night. it is quiet, the sky was amazing, lots of stars. there was northern lights, it was just perfect. absolutely no traffic at night, my dogs could run around free without danger. few trucks and cars drove by in the morning but not a lot. beautiful sunrise, I bet the sunset was incredible too !

Super nice spot off the highway. Far enough That you don’t hear traffic at all and over the night there was not a single car that passed!

Report Check-In

No traffic for the 12 hours we were there overnight. Beautiful sunrise. Quiet sleep away from the highway. Windy when we were there.

Report Check-In

far enough from the highway that you hear very little. small area for one vehicle and stable enough for our weight

Report Check-In

Great spot to spend the night. There is actually a second one close to the main road (where we parked), you can hear the highway and the train but we slept good.

Would recommend, there was a lot less bugs than the first spot we tried!

Report Check-In

Very nice place to see the setting sun, rest or just watch the lake.
