Really nice place. The road is rough but you can make it without 4x4. (Some guys came here with an Fiat punto) the refugio has a fireplace and is free to use. The view on the stars is amazing. No toilet!
Report Check-InGreat drive up the mountain. Some 2wd there. More or less easy on an old Transalp but very rocky so hard on your tires. Blankets etc in the refuge in case you don't have a warm sleeping bag. There were water bottles for emergency up there but otherwise no spring on the way up. Little over 2 hours to the highest summit. German class 1-2 climbing (occasionally need to use hands) and exposed. Orientation hard in bad weather so best to leave very early to avoid clouds or bad weather.
