Absolutely lovely spot as others have described although keep in mind there will be noise from logging trucks and operations down the road. The gravel road is in good shape, very little corrugation or potholes. Easily doable in a 25ft motorhome. Plenty of spots on a Monday afternoon, it did end up being full by the evening but I think if you explored a bit you'd find a pullout somewhere if needed. Swimming was cold but the beach gets sun all day long.

As described - 6 to 8 sites, only a couple are not oceanfront. Clean pit toilet. Creek for non-potable fresh water. Pack your trash out! Yes - road in is dusty, rocky & washboardy because it's an active logging road so pay attention and go slow. Did not see any marine life but witnessed a parade of cruise ships.

Absolutely a MUST if you are in the area. Beautiful Oceanside spots, complete silence. Watched salmon jump all day, saw a pod of dolphins and many seals. We got one very spotty bar of LTE at our site, the further one from the road. We had the creek in front of us and the ocean on the side of us. Magical spot. One of our favorite camping sites to date. It’s worth the drive in. Stayed a night on Stella lake (HIGHLY recommend) and then traveled here, only about 15 minutes apart.

great wild life viewing.

Absolutely lovely place. This is Elk bay rec site. 14 days max free camping. Seals and sea lions by the shore all day. Other campers mentioned they've seen Orcas from their spot. There's fire pits. On Sunday 3 spots available from about 10. But even if full there's places to park before the camp. Btw it's a 15 km gravel road but manageable with any vehicle. People kayaking and fishing. My favorite place

beautiful spot as described by others!Pretty busy but I think everywhere is this year! We were lucky to get the last spot at 1.30pm on a wednesday and it looks like most are settled in for the weekend. having said that, its relatively quiet and the other campers are friendly and respectful. lovely drive in on a maintained forestry road, plenty of people bring their boats, trailers and RVs down. Some noise from the logging trucks, the logging activitys and passing boats, but that didnt bother us.
no whales while we were hear (one of the real reasons we came) but lots of porpoises following the incoming tide and eagles flying past.
Would recommend and would come again!
