Nice quiet and level spot off of NF-2999 above Upper Hoh Rd. Just you, the chipmunks, and woodpeckers. There is a small fire ring and a flattish area for a tent at the end of this little pull-off area. Room for 2 or 3 vehicles end to end if needed. The gravel road is a little bit steep and twisty but otherwise easy to drive. This spot is on the right just before the road splits. We had 2-3 bars of Verizon cell coverage.

Forestry filled the area with mulch, cannot camo here anymore. There's still a small pullout, but not level

Nice little pull off. Possible spot for a tent at the end. Found a flat spot for our jeep so we could pop the roof tent. 1 bar AT&T enough to send and receive texts. Don’t step on the 🍌🐌Banana Slugs!🐌

Multiple good options, kept going up the road and found the nicer spot. Made a small fire to keep all the mozzies away and threw some wet logs on top for added smoke. Fairly level spot. Keep your eye out for Banana Slugs 🐌👀 Happy trails!

we drove up the road (small incline, but totally fine in a 2WD van) and pulled into the first legit pulloff we saw (not the nicest because it’s full of dead tree debris on the sides of the clearing). i walked with my dog further up the road and took a right at the fork—there was a much nicer spot down that section of road, less dead debris. but either works for being close to the park/in the woods for a quick overnight. it’s quiet, only saw one other van. spotty at&t. IF YOU NEED TO POOP—DIG A HOLE AT LEAST 6 INCHES DEEP AND COVER EVERYTHING BACK UP WITH DIRT—THIS SHOULD NOT BE THAT HARD.

Wonderful! Was very rainy when we went but we chose this spot over others closer to the river due to the increased downpour of rain. Had 1-2 bars of 4G on T-Mobile in most places around the fire pit. Will definitely be back. Super cool. Our pop-up canopy is 10x10 for reference.

nice the pull off of NF 2999. Flat levelish ground right before a ring of rocks for a fire pit. Very quite and peacefully are.

Awesome spot very private only saw one other group/person the whole time. Lots of bugs though. There was a ring of rocks for a fire pit we made a small fire mostly for smoke to get rid of the bugs there were no signs for no fires but we didn’t want to risk it. We were enjoying the outdoors then we heard a sound like branches crumbling and thought it was a bear lol 🤣🤣 overall it was a great spot for secluded wild camping

Pull of near intersection of FS roads. This is a bit nicer than "hills of hoh" which was dark and dirty. This site is better for a van and much more sun. Made camp at 5pm and the only vehicle that passed was a local in an ATV with a huge, well groomed labradoodle named Sassy that played with our dog. We changed our dinner menu when the man returned and offered us a pound of chanterelles that he just picked. Who says you should not eat wild mushy given to you by a stranger in the woods.

Report Check-In

Nice quiet camping. The sites tend to be more like cleared driveways off the main Forest Service gravel road, but they are fine. Some piles of old tree parts from when they cleared the camping areas tend to be a marginally unsightly, but the quiet makes up for that. Signal strength varies from 1 bar 3G to 2 bars LTE.
